The Alfa Romeo Owners Club (AROC) Ltd. was formed in 1964 when Alfa Romeo cars had started to become more numerous in the UK. Since then, the popularity of the marque has increased and Club membership has grown to approximately 4000. The majority of our members live in the British Isles, but we do cater for overseas subscribers.
The objectives of the Club, as set out in the Memorandum of Association, are: "the encouragement of all activities associated with the use of Alfa Romeo vehicles, the development of an interest in the tradition and culture of the Alfa Romeo marque and the promotion of such sports and social activities, between persons interested in the same." In other words, if you are interested in racing, driving, maintaining or showing a modern, classic or vintage Alfa Romeo, or in spectating at Alfa Romeo motorsport events, or enjoying the company and support of a group of people who are, this non-exclusive club has something for you.Organisation
AROC´s management team co-ordinate the activities of some thirty local or "area" sections spread throughout the UK and a technical support network of "model" registers, each dedicated to a particular type or model of car. The committee´s events team is responsible for organising our flagship national events, such as National Alfa Day, as well as an official presence at classic car shows whilst the motorsports section organise track days, a racing programme and the AROC Victor Ludorum Championship.
The Club maintain close ties with Alfa Romeo (GB) and the dealer network but remain entirely independent. We are also in regular contact with Alfa Romeo Owners Clubs all over the world, exchanging magazines, encouraging our members to visit overseas events and welcoming visitors from abroad.
National Alfa Day is the Club´s main summer event usually held at a large country house style venue with plenty to do for all the family including; the annual concours d´elegance competition, displays arranged by the model registers, trade stands and a prize giving for the winners of our racing championship.
Other regional gatherings invariably feature in the Club calendar and the season always opens with "Spring Alfa Day".
The Club maintains a presence at a number of indoor and outdoor Classic Car events, such as the "Auto Italia" International Classic Car Weekend at Brooklands.
Visits to Alfa events in France, Holland, Belgium and Germany have also been organised and popular motoring holidays to Italy and Ireland feature regularly.
The Events page on this website has a comprehensive list of forthcoming events
The Alfa Romeo Owners Club is organised into local groups called Area Sections which currently number around 30. They hold regular meetings and have their own calendars of events which have a keen following. It is hoped that all members within striking distance of an area section will give their support to its activities.
To locate your nearest area section, please use the section finder on our Area Sections page of this website.
The Club has (or is associated with) an expanding number of model registers whose purpose is to help owners of new or old cars by sharing information related to restoration, maintenance, spare parts and insurance valuations. For more information visit the Model Registers page on this website.Discussion Forum
The discussion forum on this website is frequented by a number of Alfa Romeo marque experts offering advice on most technical matters. Forum access is free to members.Directory Of Services
The Club produces a bi-annual Directory Of Services which is the UK´s most comprehensive listing of Alfa Romeo dealers, servicing and restoration specialists and parts suppliers. An online version of the directory will shortly be available to members via this website.
Alfa Romeo has a tradition of excellence in motorsport and, through the AROC Victor Ludorum Championship, the Club actively encourages its members to participate in all forms of competition. Members take part in club, national and international race and rally events, driving modern, classic and vintage Alfa Romeo cars. Points won in individual events count towards a member´s season´s tally in the Victor Ludorum.
We are pleased to enjoy the support of the Club´s recommended insurer, Chris Knott Insurance Consultants ([link removed]) as our main sponsor of the AROC Victor Ludorum Championship.Autotests/Track Days
Low-key competitive events such as autotests often feature at major Club days and track days are organised in conjunction with well known commercial organisations.
